On Sunday, Oct. 20, Tennessee State Sen. Jack Johnson hosted his 18th annual Boots & Jeans, BBQ & Beans event with special guests U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Gov. Bill Lee. With early voting already begun and Election Day just around the corner, Johnson took the opportunity to raise support for his colleagues running in state and national elections.

“We are 16 days away from taking this country back,” Johnson said after asking the crowd if they were ready to send Marsha Blackburn back to the Senate and Donald Trump back to the White House.

In the midst of campaign season, Johnson said he, Gov. Lee and Blackburn have all visited areas in East Tennessee that were devastated by Hurricane Helene. All three officials said it will be a long journey to restore those areas, but they are proud of the way Tennesseans have rallied to help their neighbors.
